This site is designed to help you lobby the Australian Government for a total ban on all advertising and marketing - including for food, toys, music, clothes and activities - designed exclusively to target children. We do not oppose advertisments for children's products aimed at adults. Any action you take can make a difference.
What are the current advertising regulations for children's television?
There are different regulations depending on the age of the children being targeted. You can find the specific regulations on the Australian Communications and Media Authority (here are the actual television standards).
What organisations are you affiliated with?
None. But many other organisations have similar aims. In Australia, for example, the Coalition on Food Advertising to Children specifically campaigns against junk food advertising. We support this cause, but advocate that the advertising regulation should extend to all advertising aimed at children.
How do you fund your organisation?
Our organisation and this site are entirely self-funded. We do not accept, nor wish to accept donations.
Who are you?
We are individual concerned parents trying to make it easy for other parents to make a difference. More detail here.
How can I help?
You can send a letter to your local Member of State/Territory or Federal Parliament. You can also write directly to the Australian Communications and Media Authority. You can also sign our on-line petition, or contact us with your comments.
How do I find my local member?
We have provided links to all State/Territory and Federal elected representatives. If you do not know your electorate, you can check it on the Australian Electoral Commission website search engine.
